Personal Data Processing Policy
of the "Ukrainian Decolonial Glossary" Project




General Provisions

1.1. This Personal Data Processing Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") has been drafted in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection of Personal Data" dated 01.06.2010 No. 2297-VI and the Standard Procedure for Personal Data Processing, approved by the Order of the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights of Ukraine dated 08.01.2014 No. 1/02-14, and defines the procedure for processing and protecting personal data of personal data subjects, which is carried out by the Public Organization "Ksi Prostir" (code 43669716, address 92 Smolenska St., Dnipro, Ukraine) (hereinafter referred to as the "Operator").

1.2. The Operator defines the principle and the main goal of its own activity as compliance with the rights and freedoms of a person during the processing of personal data, in particular, the right to inviolability of its private and family life.

1.3. This Policy applies to all information that may be received by the Operator about visitors to the website "Ukrainian Decolonial Glossary" https://decolonialglossary.com.ua/ (hereinafter referred to as the "Users").


Definitions of Terms

2.1 Automated processing of personal data - processing of personal data using computer technology;

2.2 Blocking of personal data - suspension of personal data processing temporarily (does not cover cases of the need for processing for clarification of personal data);

2.3 Website - a collection of graphic and information materials, as well as computer programs and databases that provide access to them on the Internet at the network address https://decolonialglossary.com.ua/;

2.4 Depersonalization of personal data - actions as a result of which it is impossible to determine the belonging of specific personal data to the User or another subject of personal data without the use of additional information;

2.5 Destruction of personal data - actions as a result of which personal data are destroyed (deleted) irrevocably without the possibility of further restoration in the personal data information system and (or) all material carriers on which specific personal data are recorded are destroyed;

2.6 Personal data information system - a collection of personal data contained in the relevant databases, and information technologies and technical means that ensure their processing;

2.7 User - a visitor to the website who is an individual;

2.8 Processing of personal data - any action (operation) or a set of actions (operations) performed with respect to personal data with or without the use of automation tools, including their collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, use, distribution (transfer), depersonalization, blocking, deletion, destruction of personal data;

2.9 Operator - a natural or legal person who independently or jointly with other authorized persons organizes and/or carries out the processing of personal data, and also determines the purpose of processing personal data, the composition of these data and the procedures for their processing;

2.10 Personal data (PD) - any information about an identified or identifiable User of the website;

2.11 Cross-border transfer of personal data - transfer of personal data across the state border of Ukraine by any means.


Composition of Personal Data

3.1. The Operator may process the User's PD in the following composition:
  • last name, first name, patronymic;
  • email addresses;
  • phone numbers or other means of communication.

3.2. The website may also collect anonymized data of visitors (including cookies) for further processing using Internet statistics services in cases where this is allowed by the User's browser settings.


Purpose of Personal Data Processing

4.1. The purpose of processing the User's PD is:
  • conclusion and execution of transactions to which the User is a party, as well as implementation of measures that precede their conclusion;
  • informing the User by sending emails (messages).

4.2. The Operator has the right to send the User messages about new products, services and special offers, other events. The User, for his part, may refuse to receive information messages by sending the Operator an email with the note "Refusal to receive messages about new products, services and special offers".

4.3. Anonymized data collected using Internet statistics services about the actions of Users on the website are intended to improve its quality and improve the content.


Legal Grounds for Personal Data Processing

5.1. Personal data (PD) processing is carried out on the terms of the consent of its subject - the User, which is provided for the occurrence and proper fulfillment of obligations regulated by civil and economic legislation of Ukraine, as well as its international treaties.

5.2. The subject of PD voluntarily and for his own benefit makes a decision to grant permission to the Operator and persons authorized by him to process his PD without restrictions to achieve the purpose of their processing.

5.3. The Operator processes the User's PD only if they are entered and (or) sent by the User himself using special forms posted on the website, or sent to the Operator's email address.

5.4. By filling out the relevant forms and/or providing their PD to the Operator in another way, the User expresses his consent to the terms of the Policy.


Procedure for Personal Data Processing

6.1. The Operator ensures the security of PD being processed by implementing a set of technical, organizational and legal measures necessary in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in the field of PD protection.

6.2. The Operator ensures the storage of PD and takes all possible measures that exclude access to PD by unauthorized persons.

6.3. PD is never and under no circumstances transferred to third parties, except for cases covered by the consent of the subject of PD or directly provided for by the current legislation.

6.4. In case of independent identification of inaccuracies in their PD, the User can update them by sending an email to the Operator with the note "Updating personal data".

6.5. The period of PD processing is determined by the achievement of its purpose.

6.6. The User may at any time withdraw his consent to the processing of PD by sending an email to the Operator with the note "Withdrawal of consent to the processing of personal data".

6.7. The conditions for termination of PD processing may be, in particular, the achievement of the goal for which they were processed, the expiration of the period specified by the consent to their processing, or the withdrawal of consent by the subject of PD in the manner established by the Policy, the detection of illegality of PD processing.


Cross-border Transfer of Personal Data

7.1. Before starting the cross-border transfer of PD, the Operator is obliged to make sure that the foreign state to which this transfer is intended ensures adequate protection of the rights of PD subjects.

7.2. Cross-border transfer of PD can be carried out in case of the provision by the subject of PD of a written consent to their transfer and in other cases established by law or an international treaty of Ukraine.


Final Provisions

8.1. The User can receive any clarifications on all issues related to the processing of his PD by contacting the Operator at the email address ecolonialglossary.ua@gmail.com

8.2. This Policy reflects any changes in the procedure for processing PD by the Operator. The policy is valid indefinitely.
